Group Tours
Groups small and large, in buses or on foot, can enjoy the beautiful OU campus. The wonderful park-like atmosphere and historic buildings make a wonderful outing for all types of groups. Guides will be provided on walking or bus tours. To schedule a tour and visits to special areas of campus, contact the Visitor Center as far as possible in advance.You may reach the Visitor Center at 405.325.1188 or 1.800.234.6868 or e-mail the following tour reservation form to the visitor center. Prospective Student Tours
Tours for prospective students and their families are conducted Monday through Friday at 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. This tour program includes an information session that will answer questions about admissions, housing, scholarships, financial aid and campus life.Individual appointments may be scheduled with academic departments and faculty. Children's Tours
Individual families with children as well as school groups, church groups and day camps will enjoy this self-guided tour designed especially for elementary school age children.

The tour includes an outdoor scavenger hunt, along with games and puzzles. Copies of the tour may be picked up at the Visitor Center or requested by calling 405.325.1188 or 1.800.234.6868 or e-mail visitor-center@ou.edu.

 

 

Historic Campus Tours
Guests with an interest in Oklahoma and OU history will enjoy guided tours that can be tailored to accommodate group's special requests or needs. These tours may include the History of Science Collections, the Western History Collections, the Barry Switzer Center, Oklahoma Memorial Union as well as Catlett Music Center and our museums. Many options are available.

Self-guided Campus Audio Tour
A historical audio walking tour of the University of Oklahoma Norman campus uses CD technology to bring to life the university's colorful history. "Of Campus Beautiful by Day and Night" shares the history of OU with visitors via headphones and a portable CD player while they stroll around campus. The 64-minute tour leads visitors through OU's architectural wonders, point out the varied sculptures by renowned artists and uses vignettes to tell the stories of the university's history through the eyes of those that lived them. Prominent OU alumni share their tales of life on campus. An original score provides musical background for the entire tour. Presented by the Visitor Center, the portable CD players and CD may be checked out free of charge. Visitors may take all or part of the tour as time allows.
